Education and upbringing processes in the age span of childhood are the starting and orientation point in the master's program "Early Childhood Education", which is offered by the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Ludwigsburg in cooperation with the Ludwigsburg University of Education. Education, upbringing and care in childhood are the focus of social debates: compatibility of family and career, inclusion, (early) education and social inequality, shortage of skilled workers and multi-professional teams. The educational sector of early childhood with its diverse institutions is challenged to react to new needs and to further develop pedagogical concepts in a future-oriented way and to realize them together with the involved actors.

What makes this study program attractive for you

In the master's program, education in educational science is emphasized. On top of that, educational research and management are studied as complementary areas of competence with an individual focus: Optionally, management strategies and management procedures are taken as a focus, or educational research is taken with subject-specific and didactic specialization in one or two educational areas.

A research workshop forms the center in each case, where topics of study are brought together and projects are developed in a research context and interdisciplinarily accompanied, carried out and evaluated.

On this basis, the study program offers the possibility of scientifically advised development of professional ability to act for activities in fields of work in childhood education and opens up attractive career prospects for you.
